Interactive show demonstrating efficiency for excavators
An interactive show featuring four machines equipped with Steelwrist solutions that boost excavator efficiency will be a highlight in the Steelwrist booth.
There will be two compact excavators with the new automatic quick coupler solution, SQ40, on the X07 tiltrotator, sharing the same set of work tools.
There will also be a 14 ton short swing excavator with a third generation tiltrotator, XTR15, with the Open-S compliant SQ60 automatic coupler. The XTR15 is one of five models of the new third generation tiltrotators from Steelwrist, all of which will be on display during the show.
Finally, the show will feature an electric powered compact excavator equipped with the smallest XTR2 tiltrotator showing how Steelwrist solutions are also available for the smallest machine on the job site.
During the 15 minute demo show a real job situation will be simulated by the excavators and the skilled operators will demonstrate the efficiency that can be achieved with Steelwrist solutions!
The show will run every hour on the hour starting at 10 AM.

The Steelwrist XTR series expands
The Steelwrist XTR tiltrotator series will get a new addition, the XTR10, meaning the range now contains five models. At CONEXPO 2026, all models will be shown in the Steelwrist booth.
Common for all XTR models is that they are easily upgradeable from S to SQ interface. Naturally, the XTR tiltrotators have the low building height that is typical for all Steelwrist tiltrotators.
- XTR tiltrotator features:
- Advanced tilt geometry that ensures smooth operation for the driver.
- The patented LockSense technology, a sensor system for secure work tool locking.
- Automatic lubrication with the onboard OptiLube system.
- The XTR tiltrotators are delivered with the advanced QuantumConnect control system platform.
We’re bringing the SQ40 technology to North America
CONEXPO will be the first time that the SQ40 automatic coupler solution for excavators under 7 tonnes, first presented at Bauma in Munich 2025, is shown in North America.
SQ40 enables quick, high-flow tool changes without leaving the cab, bringing the efficiency of larger SQ couplers to smaller machines. Optimized for 70 l/min flow, its innovative coupling delivers 40% more flow area than standard 3/8” couplings.
Following the S40 symmetrical standard, SQ40 is compatible with existing work tools, eliminating costly adaptations.
With the introduction of the new SQ40 size Steelwrist’s product range includes eight different SQ quick coupler models (SQ40-SQ90), for excavators from 4 to 70 tonnes.
We believe in open standards
Open-S is the open standard for automatic couplers for excavators. It is owned and managed by an independent organization, Open-S Alliance, and builds on the independent and established standard that already exists for quick couplers, the symmetrical standard. Steelwrist is a founding member of this organization.
