Steelwrist Inc welcomes AEM Manufacturing Express to its North American headquarters in Newington, CT

On September 28 Steelwrist welcomed the AEM Manufacturing Express to its North American headquarters in Newington, Connecticut, as part of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ 2026 Northeast tour. This marked the first time the AEM Manufacturing Express made a tour stop at a tiltrotator manufacturer. During the visit, Steelwrist showcased its latest tiltrotator technology and fully automatic quick coupler solutions, as well as the company’s expanded machining, assembly and product testing capabilities in the United States.

Since entering the North American market in 2017, Steelwrist has experienced strong growth as contractors increasingly adopt tiltrotators and fully automatic quick coupler systems to improve safety, productivity and machine utilization. In February this year, Steelwrist officially inaugurated its expanded operations in Newington, CT, with investments in machining, assembly and product testing capabilities. These investments enable the company to deliver products that are assembled and tested in the United States, and supports the company’s continued growth in North America.

The AEM Manufacturing Express hit the road on August 31 and will stop at 18 manufacturing facilities across four states during the Northeast leg of the tour, amplifying the stories of the 2.2 million men and women who build, power, and feed America. On September 28 the AEM Manufacturing Express made a stop at the Steelwrist headquarters in Newington.

Attendees were given a tour of the facility, which, in addition to serving as Steelwrist’s North American headquarters, brings warehousing, technical support, training, machining, assembly and product testing together under one roof. The expanded operation reflects both the work of the local Steelwrist team and the company’s long-term commitment to growing its presence in the U.S. market. Steelwrist’s culture, built around clear values, direct communication and individual accountability, has played an important role in the development of the North American organization.

The Newington stop also highlighted Connecticut’s important role in the equipment manufacturing industry, which supports approximately 14,000 jobs and contributes $3.1 billion annually to the state’s GDP. During the event, AEM invited Steelwrist employees and guests to take the “Manufacturing Challenge,” an interactive online game, to learn more about the innovations that power modern equipment manufacturing. Attendees also learned how to become advocates for the industry by joining “I Make America,” AEM’s national grassroots program.
