COMPONENTS
The QuantumConnect platform consists of a number of components that combined creates the best tiltrotator control system on the market. With modular components and pre-built integration wire harness, the need for extensive customization during installation is eliminated.
A9 Joysticks
The A9 joystick is the industry’s most advanced joysticks and is developed to meet a growing need for ergonomics and enable the operator to control more functions via the joystick. The A9 joystick can be configured with two or three rollers and an ergonomic 5-way mini joystick switch that can be used to navigate various functions. The integrated hand heater takes the comfort to new levels in cold climate and the haptic vibration function improves safety and gives you instant and intuitive feedback from the system.
I/O Module Master
The QIO Master module (QIO Module) is an I/O-module that converts CAN data to analog/digital signals and facilitates integration with external systems or direct control of various machine functions. The module is the master controller in the QuantumConnect platform, and it operates the tiltrotator as well as communicates with third parties machine control systems (MCS). It also reads and writes digital and analog signals to integrate efficiently with the machine.
I/O Module Slave
Depending on the excavator brand, a QIO Slave module (QIO Slave, optional), might be needed to add the possibility to control all machine functionalities within the QuantumConnect platform. The QIO Slave module is an I/O-module that converts CAN data to analog/digital signals and facilitates integration with external systems or direct control of various machine functions. The module communicates with third parties CAN systems and reads and writes digital and analog signals to integrate efficiently with the machine.
Connectivity Gateway
The Connectivity Gateway module (QCG Module) incorporates several radio transceivers and handles the communication between QuantumConnect and its radio connected sensors and components such as LockSense, ToolRec, and OptiLube. It also includes a 4G modem used for over the air updates and notifications handling, as well as keeping the systems configuration backed up in the cloud. Using the QuantumConnect app to communicate, set up and configure the control system is made possible with the QCG module.
Touch Display
The in-the-cab 3.2” touch display is used to show system status and give the operator an easy way to see settings and read notifications from the QuantumConnect platform.
Tiltrotator Controller Module
The Tiltrotator Controller Module (TR Module) is integrated in the tiltrotator and controls all function valves and also reads sensors such as pressure, rotation and tilt position. The TR module communicates over CAN-bus with the machine to request oil flow according to the tiltrotator’s need.
Auxiliary Valve Control Module
The Auxiliary Valve Control Module (AUX Module, optional) is a flexible electro hydraulic valve control module that is used to control various hydraulic functions using the joystick controls. Typical examples can be blade and outriggers, as well as offset boom and other miscellaneous functions that can simplify the operator’s work day.
