Steelwrist will launch the third-generation XTR tiltrotator range in Asia at CSPI-EXPO in Tokyo, Japan, June 17\u201320. With several XTR models on display, the first Japanese presentation of QuantumConnect, two electric excavators equipped with Steelwrist tiltrotators and the official announcement that OS40 is added to the Open-S standard, Steelwrist brings its biggest CSPI-EXPO presence ever to Japan\u2019s leading construction equipment exhibition.<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
CSPI-EXPO takes place annually at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo and is the largest and most important exhibition in the Japanese construction equipment industry. The 2026 edition will be the seventh time Steelwrist participates in the exhibition and marks an important milestone in the company\u2019s continued growth in Japan and across Asia.<\/p>\n
Since entering the Japanese market in 2018, Steelwrist has established itself as the market leader for tiltrotators in Japan. At CSPI-EXPO 2026, visitors are welcome to meet the Steelwrist team in indoor stand 09-41, where the company will present its latest technology for the Asian market, including XTR tiltrotators, SQ fully automatic coupler solutions, QuantumConnect and Open-S.<\/p>\n
Launching the XTR series tiltrotators in Asia <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
CSPI-EXPO will be the official launch of the Steelwrist XTR tiltrotator range in Asia. The XTR series represents the third generation of Steelwrist tiltrotator technology and brings together new tiltrotator hardware, advanced hydraulics, smart onboard technology and the latest Steelwrist control system platform.<\/p>\n
In the Steelwrist stand, visitors will be able to see the XTR7, XTR10 and XTR15 models. The XTR7, which made its first public appearance at Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan in Sweden only two weeks before CSPI-EXPO, is developed for excavators in the 4\u20137 tonne range and comes with S40 size interface. At CSPI-EXPO, the XTR7 will be shown with Steelwrist SQ40, the fully automatic coupler solution that enables hydraulic powered work tools to be changed without leaving the cab. Additionally the XTR7 comes equipped with absolute tilt- and rotation sensors enabling easy integration to machine control systems.<\/p>\n
In addition to the Steelwrist stand, further XTR models will be shown mounted on excavators in OEM stands. One XTR10 will be displayed in the Kubota stand, while one XTR15 and one XTR23 will be displayed in the Komatsu stand. This underlines the growing interest in Steelwrist tiltrotator technology among leading excavator manufacturers.<\/p>\n
The XTR series is developed to take excavator efficiency to the next level, with increased performance, improved safety, higher uptime and an operator experience built around precision and control. Key features include steel cast components, refined tilt geometry, OptiLube onboard lubrication, high-resolution tilt and rotation sensors, and Steelwrist safety solutions for secure work tool locking.<\/p>\n
The XTR platform is also prepared for SuperProp, Steelwrist\u2019s patented fully pressure compensated proportional hydraulic technology. SuperProp improves tiltrotator precision, function independence and energy efficiency by reducing losses in the hydraulic system and enabling smooth, predictable movements even when several excavator functions are used at the same time.<\/p>\n

QuantumConnect introduced in Japan <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
CSPI-EXPO will also be the first time Steelwrist presents QuantumConnect in Japan. QuantumConnect is Steelwrist\u2019s latest tiltrotator control system platform and is developed to make installation, operation and support easier and more efficient.<\/p>\n
The platform brings together new hardware components, smart apps and connected functionality. Main components include A9 joysticks, QIO module, Connectivity Gateway and touch display. The system is delivered with machine-specific cable harnesses to simplify installation from start.<\/p>\n
For installers, QuantumConnect is designed to make tiltrotator installation faster and more consistent. The InstallMate app provides predefined, machine-specific and multilingual installation guides, supporting technicians step by step and enabling remote installation support.<\/p>\n
For operators, QuantumConnect is built around precision and control. Tiltrotator hydraulic functions are controlled proportionally with rollers on the A9 joysticks, while auto-calibration of hydraulic valves helps optimize the driver experience. The QuantumConnect app allows the operator to configure settings, access support and keep the system updated.<\/p>\n
The platform also integrates with other Steelwrist technologies. LockSense gives clear indication of secure work tool locking, ToolRec can wirelessly detect the connected work tool and automatically adjust tiltrotator settings, and optional Machine Control System integration supports precision work through bucket position feedback.<\/p>\n
Steelwrist brings its biggest CSPI-EXPO presence ever <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Steelwrist will have its biggest stand ever at CSPI-EXPO. The 315 square meter indoor stand, located at 09-41, will bring together the company\u2019s latest tiltrotator technology, quick coupler solutions, work tools, control system platform and Open-S information in one major exhibition presence.<\/p>\n
The stand will include static product displays, a dedicated Open-S area and a dedicated area for QuantumConnect. Visitors will be able to see several XTR tiltrotator models, SQ fully automatic coupler solutions, Steelwrist work tools and control system components.<\/p>\n
Two electric excavators equipped with Steelwrist X04 tiltrotators will be used to demonstrate the productivity and efficiency gains that tiltrotators bring to compact machines. The demonstrations will show how the ability to tilt and rotate the work tool allows operators to work faster, with greater precision and with less need to reposition the excavator.<\/p>\n
The Steelwrist team in Japan, together with colleagues from the global organization, will be on site throughout the exhibition to welcome customers, dealers and OEM partners. Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss product solutions, machine setups, installation support and how tiltrotators, automatic quick couplers and work tools can increase excavator efficiency in the Japanese market.<\/p>\n

Steelwrist Japan expands capacity with new facility in Saitama <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Steelwrist has been present in Japan since 2018 and has built a strong position in the market together with customers, dealers and OEM partners. During the last year, interest in Steelwrist tiltrotators has increased significantly, with more contractors around the country seeing the benefits of using tiltrotators, quick couplers and work tools to improve excavator efficiency.<\/p>\n
To support this continued growth, Steelwrist Japan will move into a new facility in Miyoshi-machi, Saitama, from July 1, 2026. The new location provides significantly expanded capacity and improved conditions for sales, availability of local spare parts, logistics, training and continued market development.<\/p>\n
The move marks an important step in Steelwrist\u2019s long-term commitment to Japan. With a larger and more capable facility, Steelwrist Japan will be better positioned to support customers and dealers, handle increasing product volumes and provide the technical competence needed as tiltrotator adoption continues to grow.<\/p>\n
The Open-S standard expands with OS40 <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Steelwrist will continue to highlight Open-S at CSPI-EXPO. Open-S is the open industry standard for automatic couplers for excavators, owned and managed by the independent Open-S Alliance. Steelwrist is a founding member of the alliance and has been a driving force behind the development of the standard.<\/p>\n
At a press event hosted in the Steelwrist stand during CSPI-EXPO on June 17, Open-S will officially announce the expansion of the standard with the OS40 size, the standard now covers excavators from 2 to 75 tons. OS40 brings Open-S into the compact excavator segment between 2 and 7 tonnes, a highly important size class in Japan and many other markets.<\/p>\n
Steelwrist first presented SQ40, the solution that now becomes the OS40 standard, at Bauma in Munich in 2025 and has since actively introduced the solution to the market. With OS40 becoming part of the Open-S standard, the benefits of fully automatic work tool changes and open compatibility become available in one of the most important compact excavator segments.<\/p>\n
Open-S continues to gain traction globally, including Japan and Asia. The most recent expansion of the alliance with four new members joining included two Japanese companies. This is an important signal that the open standard is becoming increasingly relevant for the Japanese market and for the global excavator industry.<\/p>\n

Visit to Steelwrist headquarters by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Ahead of CSPI-EXPO, Steelwrist had the honor of welcoming Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado to the company\u2019s headquarters in Rosersberg, Sweden, on June 12. The visit was organized together with Samhall and focused on the cooperation between Steelwrist and Samhall.<\/p>\n
