Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan takes place June 4\u20136 at Solvalla in Stockholm and is Sweden\u2019s largest construction equipment exhibition. Organized by Maskinleverant\u00f6rerna, the exhibition is held every second year and brings together machine manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, contractors and operators from across the Swedish market.<\/p>\n
For Steelwrist, Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan 2026 marks an important milestone in the continued rollout of the company\u2019s third-generation tiltrotator platform. The company will present the XTR7 and XTR13 for the first time, following the first presentation of the XTR10 at Conexpo in Las Vegas in March. Together with the already launched XTR2, XTR15, XTR20 and XTR23, Steelwrist will show all seven XTR models in stand N:22.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will also be the first time Steelwrist officially presents SuperProp, a new patented hydraulic technology developed for the XTR series. SuperProp will be available during the third quarter of 2026 from the XTR10 to XTR23 tiltrotator models.<\/p>\n
Steelwrist expands the third-generation XTR tiltrotator range <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Steelwrist introduced the first third-generation tiltrotator, the XTR20, at the company\u2019s launch event in Hamburg in 2024. In just over two years, the XTR range has expanded to seven models, bringing the latest Steelwrist technology to a wider range of excavators.<\/p>\n
At Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan, Steelwrist will present the XTR7 and XTR13 for the first time. The XTR7 is developed for excavators in the 4\u20137 tonne range and comes with S40 size interface. At the exhibition, the XTR7 will be shown with Steelwrist SQ40, the fully automatic coupler solution that enables hydraulic powered work tools to be changed without leaving the cab.<\/p>\n
The XTR10 and XTR13 extend the XTR range for larger compact and mid-size excavators. The two models are available with S45 and S50 size interfaces, and at Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan both models will be shown with the fully automatic SQ45 solution. The XTR10 was first presented at CONEXPO-CON\/AGG in Las Vegas in March, while the XTR13 will be presented for the first time in Stockholm. XTR7, XTR10 and XTR13 will start to be delivered during the later part of 2026.<\/p>\n
The four models already launched and currently delivered are XTR2, XTR15, XTR20 and XTR23. Together, the seven XTR models represent the most significant tiltrotator range expansion in Steelwrist\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
The XTR series is developed to take excavator efficiency to the next level, with increased performance, improved safety, higher uptime and an operator experience built around precision and control. With 360-degree rotation and 45-degree tilt in both directions, the tiltrotator allows the operator to work faster, safer and with greater flexibility.<\/p>\n
The XTR platform combines compact design with steel cast components, refined tilt geometry, upgraded hydraulics, onboard lubrication technology and Steelwrist\u2019s latest control system platform, QuantumConnect. Key features include OptiLube onboard lubrication, high-resolution tilt- and rotation sensors, and Steelwrist safety solutions for secure work tool locking. LockSense is available for XTR tiltrotators with S45\/SQ45 coupler interfaces and upwards, while XTR models with S30 and S40\/SQ40 interfaces use the Front Pin Hook safety solution.<\/p>\n

SuperProp completes the XTR technology ecosystem <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
At Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan, Steelwrist will also introduce SuperProp, the third technology pillar in the XTR ecosystem. Together with the XTR tiltrotator hardware and the QuantumConnect control system platform, SuperProp completes the technology foundation for Steelwrist\u2019s third-generation tiltrotators.<\/p>\n
SuperProp is Steelwrist\u2019s patented, fully pressure compensated proportional hydraulic technology, integrated in the new XTR models. The technology is developed to improve tiltrotator precision, energy efficiency and control by reducing the energy losses that are common in conventional hydraulic systems.<\/p>\n
In a tiltrotator, several hydraulic functions often operate at the same time: tilt, rotation, gripper and auxiliary circuits for powered work tools. At the same time, the excavator\u2019s boom and arm functions will also be moving. In traditional systems, variations in pressure can affect the flow through proportional valves, which may reduce control precision and make combined movements more difficult to operate smoothly.<\/p>\n
SuperProp is designed to address this challenge by maintaining precise and independent control of the tiltrotator functions even when system pressure varies. The patented technology uses fully pressure compensated proportional control to give the operator smooth, predictable and responsive movement. This is especially important when several functions are used simultaneously, such as tilting and rotating while operating the boom and arm.<\/p>\n
The technology also contributes to improved energy efficiency. By dynamically matching pressure to the actual load and using only the energy required for the task, SuperProp helps reduce unnecessary losses in the hydraulic system. This can contribute to reduced fuel consumption, lower heat generation and improved operating efficiency.<\/p>\n
In the XTR tiltrotators, SuperProp is fully integrated into the design. A central part of the development work has been the redesigned swivel, developed to ensure full flow capacity also below the tiltrotator. In combination with the XTR series\u2019 larger port dimensions, the system supports full 350 bar machine pressure and up to 200 l\/min hydraulic flow for demanding powered work tools.<\/p>\n
SuperProp also enables all tiltrotator functions \u2014 tilt, rotation, gripper and auxiliary circuit \u2014 to work independently of each other. The system can deliver full flow to tools while maintaining full tiltrotator performance, making it possible to operate powered work tools efficiently without compromising tiltrotator control. The system is also designed for high auxiliary circuit capacity, supporting demanding applications where both tool performance and tiltrotator precision are required.<\/p>\n
SuperProp will be available during the third quarter of 2026 on XTR10 to XTR23.<\/p>\n

QuantumConnect for easier installation, smarter operation and faster support <\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
The XTR series is delivered with QuantumConnect, Steelwrist\u2019s latest tiltrotator control system platform. The platform brings together new hardware components, smart apps and connected functionality to make installation, operation and support easier and more efficient.<\/p>\n
Steelwrist has developed tiltrotator control systems since 2008. With QuantumConnect, the company takes the next step towards a connected platform that supports dealers and service partners during installation as well as operators in daily use.<\/p>\n
Main components include A9 joysticks, QIO module, Connectivity Gateway and touch display. The system is delivered in a well-organized box with the main components and a machine-specific cable harness to simplify installation from the start.<\/p>\n
QuantumConnect is designed to make tiltrotator installation easier, faster and more consistent. The InstallMate app provides predefined, machine-specific and multilingual installation guides, supporting technicians step by step and enabling remote installation support.<\/p>\n
For the operator, QuantumConnect is built around precision and control. All tiltrotator hydraulic functions are controlled proportionally with rollers on the A9 joysticks. Auto-calibration of hydraulic valves helps optimize the driver experience, while the QuantumConnect app allows the operator to configure settings, access support and keep the system updated.<\/p>\n
The platform also integrates with other Steelwrist technologies. LockSense gives clear indication of secure work tool locking, ToolRec can wirelessly detect the connected work tool and automatically adjust tiltrotator settings, and optional Machine Control System integration supports precision work through bucket position feedback.<\/p>\n
Together with XTR and SuperProp, QuantumConnect forms the digital and connected layer of the new Steelwrist tiltrotator ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Steelwrist will have its largest exhibition stand ever at Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan. The 1,000 sqm stand, located at N:22, will bring together the company\u2019s latest tiltrotator technology, quick coupler range, work tools and live demonstrations.<\/p>\n
All seven XTR tiltrotator models will be shown in the stand, together with Steelwrist\u2019s complete quick coupler range. Several models from the well-proven X-series tiltrotator range will also be on display, giving visitors the opportunity to see both the latest XTR generation and established tiltrotator solutions for a wide range of machine sizes.<\/p>\n
The stand will include five excavators equipped with Steelwrist tiltrotators. Two of the machines will be used in live demonstrations, operated by Swedish Steelwrist ambassadors Anton Persson and Linus Josefsson. Three additional machines will be displayed statically in the stand.<\/p>\n
Visitors will also be able to see a wide range of Steelwrist work tools, both in the live demonstration area and in the static product displays. The demonstrations will show how tiltrotators, automatic quick couplers and work tools together can increase productivity, flexibility and safety on the jobsite.<\/p>\n
In addition to the product displays and live demonstrations, the Steelwrist event container will be on site. The stand will include a relaxed area where visitors can meet the Steelwrist team and discuss products, applications and future machine setups. A dedicated HR area will also be available for visitors who want to learn more about career opportunities at Steelwrist.<\/p>\n

Open-S continues to grow as the global standard for automatic couplers<\/b><\/p>\n
Steelwrist will also continue to highlight Open-S at Svenska Maskinm\u00e4ssan. Open-S is the open industry standard for automatic couplers for excavators, owned and managed by the independent Open-S Alliance. Steelwrist is a founding member and has been a driving force behind the development of the standard.<\/p>\n
The purpose of Open-S is to give machine owners, contractors and operators the freedom to combine quick couplers, tiltrotators and work tools from different manufacturers, as long as the products comply with the same standard. This supports customer choice, increases flexibility and helps drive continued technological development.<\/p>\n
Open-S also plays an important role in safety. The standard defines the interface for automatic couplers and helps ensure that combinations of products from different manufacturers do not interfere with the safety solutions of each individual product.<\/p>\n
The Open-S Alliance continues to grow globally. In a recent announcement, four new members joined the alliance, two from Japan and two from the Netherlands, bringing the total number of members to 29 globally.<\/p>\n
